The purpose of this portfolio is to show all of the vocational activities that I have completed while a student at Marshall High School.
Biography:
I was born April 19, 1962 in Marshall, Michigan. I am the middle child, only girl. My parents are retired still live in Marshall.
I grew up in Marshall and attended Marshall Public Schools graduating in 1980. In high school I was very involved in school activities including cheerleading for three years. I babysat a lot and worked parttime from the time I was 14.
I attended Kellogg Community College for two years, earning an associates degree in elementary education. I transferred to Western Michigan University, graduating with a degree in special education-mentally impaired. I have certification in learning disabilities from WMU, as well. In 2000 I received a Masters in the Art of Teaching from Olivet College.
I have two children, two stepchildren, a son-in-law, and two stepgrandchildren. We have a dog named Skeeter and a cat named Shelton.
I have been married to my husband, Mark, since 2006. We like to go to baseball games and collect baseball memorabilia. Go Tigers! We also enjoy going to flea markets and antique stores. In my spare time I like to read, watch TV, and make greeting cards. I also like learning new things on the computer!
